Corrections policy
Found something wrong? Tell us.
Anyone can ask for a correction or a removal: a parent, a student, a provider, a reporter. We would rather fix a mistake quickly than leave it up.

- Prefer to write it yourself?Email hello@checkedfacts.com with the site, the page link, what is wrong, and where the right information is published.
- Run a listed program or school? You can also claim your listing for free by writing to the site it is on, and we correct your details for you.
Your email will read
Nothing you type here leaves this page until you send the email yourself.
What happens next
We read it
We read every message. We reply within 2 business days.
We check it
We compare what you told us with the official record and the provider's own website.
We fix it, or take it down while we check
A confirmed error is fixed within 7 days of confirming it. If we cannot confirm a fact either way, it comes off the page until we can.
We log it
The change goes in the public corrections log with its date, so anyone can see what changed.
Removals, and what we cannot change
We will
- Remove a listing its provider asks us to removeIf a program or school asks us to remove its own listing, we remove it.
- Remove your personal detailsIf you are a person named on a listing and want your details taken off, we take them off.
- Check any request from anyoneIf someone else asks us to remove a listing, we check it and correct anything that is wrong.
We cannot
- Change an official recordOur listings start from public records kept by government agencies. To change the record itself, contact the agency that keeps it.
- Sell a changePaying for a plan never buys a change to someone else's listing, and never changes the order of the main list.
- Hide an accurate listing because someone else askedAn accurate, sourced listing of a provider on an official public list may stay up unless the provider itself asks us to remove it.
